Simplifying the software that simplifies the social web

After nomee beta unveiled to good buzz at Web 2.0, we carefully listened to what you had to say – what you liked and what more you wanted from the application. Then we got back to work. The result is an extensive retooling of nomee, one that reflects your feedback, and one that we think will make your life easier.
Here’s why:
- At Web 2.0, people liked our idea. nomee is built to harness the power of all social networks in one tiny app. That means you can follow people, not sites. TechCrunch, PCWorld and others liked the nomee mission. So everything we’ve done since April has been aimed at better delivering that brand promise.
- nomee interface has been reworked. To make adoption and usage easier, we partnered with some of the best (and nicest, by the way) user interface designers in the business. Involution Studios‘ design lead Dave Beddingfield, tore into our UI. The new user experience is sleek, beautiful and much easier to adopt.
- Now integrating more than 120 networks. nomee helps users sort, share and follow on practically any network on the web. If you find a network we don’t support, please tell us. We’ll add it as soon as possible.
- Getting started is now more intuitive. Our engineers, led by Mike Nimer, worked with Involution to make sign-up and adoption simpler. You can now download and get started following your favorite people in about 3 minutes.
- Group aggregator included. ReadWriteWeb suggested this feature, and we thought it was a great idea. You can now customize your “follow” view by person, group and site.
- More celebrity nomee cards. One of the easiest ways to experience the power of nomee is by following public figures. Browse our library. You’ll find hundreds of people, ideas and passions to follow.
We are always ready for more feedback. So if you haven’t opened your nomee software in a while, please revisit, and let us know what you think.
If you’ve never tried nomee, now’s the time. nomee is the social web made simple. And we’ve made it simpler than ever to join in.
